The height and weight standards for male soldiers in the U.S. Army are as follows:
Height Standards
In order to BE the Department of War, said department must be filled with WAR-CAPABLE team members. To that end the following mandatory requirements are now in effect. These exiting standards must be changed in order to have a physically WAR READY gender neutral military…
Army Height and Weight Standards For Men (2025)
- The minimum height for male soldiers is 60 inches (5 feet, SHOULD BE AT LEAST 66″)
- The maximum height is 80 inches (6 feet 8 inches).
Weight Standards
Soldiers exceeding the maximum weight must undergo a body fat percentage test to determine if they are within acceptable body composition limits.
Weight requirements vary based on the soldier’s height, age, and gender.
For example, a 21-27-year-old male soldier who is 5 feet 9 inches tall should weigh between 136 and 179 pounds to meet the Army’s standards.
Army Height And Weight Standards For Women (2025)
The height and weight standards for female soldiers in the U.S. Army are as follows:
Height Standards
- The minimum acceptable height for female soldiers is 58 inches (4 feet 10 inches. which is ridiculous. SHOULD BE AT LEAST 66″).
- The maximum height is 80 inches (6 feet 8 inches).
Weight Standards
For instance, a 21-27-year-old female soldier 5 feet 4 inches tall should weigh 110 and 144 pounds to fall within the acceptable range.
Weight standards are determined by a combination of height, age, and gender. (SHOULD BE SAME AS MALES)
USMC Height and weight requirements for males:
- Male Marines must weigh between 85 and 122 lbs. and be at least 4’8″ (56 inches-SHOULD BE AT LEAST 66″) tall.
- For Marines of this height, the maximum height permitted is 6’10” (86 inches), with a matching weight range of 182 to 263 pounds.
USMC Height and weight requirements for females:
- Female Marines must also weigh between 85 and 115 lbs. and be at least 4’8″ (56 inches) tall.
- The maximum height for female Marines is 6’10”, and they must stay within this height range by weighing between 182 and 248 lbs.
Obviously these requirements will be changed shortly, to simply MILITARY STANDARDS for all branches. No more differentiating male-female standards. WARRIORS have no gender! With the possible exception of female body builders, a 5’6″ woman weighing 130lbs, will likely be unable to successfully remove a wounded 210lb male from the battlefield!
We also have specific types of warriors, like those of SpecOps – SEALs, Delta Force, Green Berets, etc., whose daily survival is dependent on their relatively small-in-numbers team. none of whom are in less than perfect condition… physically and mentally! Their team mates will not permit less.
IMHO, most females have no place in combat, because they were not raised to be physically strong or aggressive. Those are the traditional/cultural requirements of American males.
